Clavary Church Muscat - Our Beliefs

Calvary Fellowship Church is a registered Pentecostal Church, having its headquarters in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India and having branches at various places in Kerala State and other parts of India. The Ruwi branch was formed in the year 1990 and was functioning out as a small group of born again Pentecostal believers.

Our Church is founded on the following beliefs:

  • Their is One True God, as the eternally self-existent, embodying the principles of relationships and association of the Trinity as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
    (Exo. 3:14, Deut. 6:4, Mat. 28:19, Mat. 3:16-17, Jn. 16:7-11,13)
  • The Holy Bible consists of 66 books and is the inspired Word of  God, a revelation from God to man.
    (2 Tim. 3:15-17, 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
  • Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding for mankind.
    (Mat. 1:18-23, Acts 2:22-33)
  • All has sinned and came short of glory of God, and his only hope for redemption is in Jesus Christ. The grace of God, which bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men through the preaching of repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace through faith, he becomes heir of God according to the hope of eternal life.
    (Rom. 5:12-21, Luk. 24:47, Rom 10:13, Titus 3:5-7, Eph. 2:8)
  • The inward evidence of the believer is his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
  • We believe in baptism in water by immersion. All who has repented and truly believed in Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord should be baptized in the name of Father, the Son and Holy Ghost. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ, buried and they have also been raised with Him to walk the newness of life.
    (Matt 28:19, Acts 10:47, Rom. 6:4)
  • The Baptism of believers in the holy Ghost, which is evidenced by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service.
    (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:42-43, 10:44-16)
  • The Lord’s Supper and washing of saint’s feet as ordained by Lord Jesus Christ.
    (Luke 22:17-20, 1 Cor. 10:16-17, 11:23-32, Jn 13:4-8, 12-15)
  • In the atonement of Jesus Christ, divine healing is provided.
    (Isa 53:4, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:14-16)
  • The pre-millennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their transformation; those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
    (Rom. 8:23, 1 Cor: 15:51-52, 1 Thes 4:16-18)
  • The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ on the earth.
    (Rev. 20:1-7)
  • The eternal punishment for the wicked – whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life.
    (Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15)
  • The new Heaven and the New Earth.
    (2 Pet. 3:13, Rev 32:1)
